The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in association with the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX), has scheduled an Elected Officials/Agency Kickoff Meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to SR 836 from the NW 17
^th Avenue Interchange to just west of the Midtown Interchange in Miami-Dade County. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. at the

^st Street, Miami, FL 33142. Enclosed is a Project and Meeting Location Map, as well as a fact sheet regarding the project. There will also be a Public Kickoff Meeting at 6:00 p.m.

The purpose of the SR 836 PD&E Study is to develop alternatives that address the safety, mobility and community needs of the project area. This Kickoff Meeting will give officials an opportunity to provide input and participate in the PD&E process. Your attendance is encouraged to become acquainted with the proposed project and study team. Your participation and input is appreciated.
