Ms. Smith-Fano is the director of Miami Dade College, School of Business’s Hospitality Management Program. Currently the Chairperson for Miami-Dade County Sister Cities Coordinating Council, she is also active in local, state and federal civic organizations. She received an Associate in Arts from Miami Dade College, Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages and Master of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in organizational leadership from Northcentral University. Ms. Smith-Fano was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist and her term expires April 2012.
